Bacchanalia (2018) is a comic exploring revenge and anger. Through the lens of 4 fictional characters, I explore 4 instances of sexual assault that have happened in my life. Then, these fictional characters go on an amoral rampage together. It questions what happens when we don't have a good avenue to process or express our anger at being violated. What happens when we aren't allowed to be angry, for fear of not being a "good survivor"?
Its printed in cmy risograph printing. Risograph machines print with a soy-based ink that sometimes smudges, but are still often used for books. Each one is slightly different due to the nature of the medium.
